Assessments + Team Placements

Our goal is to place players on the team that best matches their skill set and that will allow each player to grow and develop with teammates at a similar skill level.

The evaluation committee consists of independent evaluators and NLC coaches.

We encourage all players (excluding u8) to attend player assessments to insure proper placement. Players are required to attend at least 1 assessment to be considered for an A team.

A Versus B Teams

“A” teams require a full-time commitment for practices and games over other spring sports. “B” Teams provide a little more flexibility to accommodate other sports or weekend conflicts.

Playing Time: A team is at coaches discretion/game situation, while B will be equitable playing time.

Coaching Expand
NLC coaching staff consists of parent and non-parent head coaches who typically have HS, college, or sports backgrounds. Every parent coach in the spring season is a volunteer.

NLC is actively looking for girls and boys volunteer head coaches, assistant coaches and team managers. Please email if interested ASAP. info@novatolacrosse.org

Volunteering

The success of our Novato Lacrosse Club depends on club-wide volunteers. There are many opportunities to volunteer: coach, scorekeeper, timekeeper, sideline manager, equipment manager, team parent, and evaluations check-in person. If a time commitment is an issue for your family, there is an opt-out fee.  Otherwise, please be prepared to help the club and your team with some of the tasks needed to make this a successful season.
