The Novato Nighthawks Lacrosse Club (NLC) is a non-profit group of parents and participants organized to provide coaching, facilities, scheduling and playing opportunity for the youth of the North Bay Area of California to participate in the sport of lacr
US Lacrosse Membership - Prior to completing the registration process, all players are required to have a US Lacrosse membership which is valid through July 30, 2020. You may either go directly to the US Lacrosse website www.uslacrosse.org to renew or establish your US Lacrosse membership OR you will be prompted to the site from within NLC on-line registration. Youth memberships are $30. This requirement is related to the club’s insurance policy.
Proof of Date of Birth - During the Spring 2020 registration process, “new” players will be required to electronically upload a photocopy of government issued document (passport or birth certificate) confirming a player’s date of birth. Registrations will not be accepted without this document so we encourage families to prepare a scanned document prior to starting the process. The scanned image file should be of type .JPG, .JPEG, .GIF, .PNG or .PDF.
Confirmation - Player’s Registration can only be made online. You will receive a confirmation email indicating that you are registered with NLC. Registration is not complete until all the following items are completed on-line:
Renewed or Created a US Lacrosse Number that is valid through 7/30/2020
Photo copy of government issued document confirming date of birth. (new players only)
Signed/electronic acceptance of the Player Code of Conduct.
Signed/electronic acceptance of the Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct.
Signed /electronic acceptance of the Photo Release Policy, Medical Release, & Playing Time Policy.
Payment of Registration Fees. The club accepts major credit cards only.
Multi player discount - Familes with more than one player are eligible for a multiplayer discount. NLC offers $50 off first child, $75 off 3rd child and $100 off 4th child.

Girls & Boys U8/U10 Registration remains open until January 1st 2020
Girls & Boys U12/U14 Registration remains open until November 30th or until teams are filled
Should a given team be filled players are encourage to register and will be waitlisted for age appropriate team
NLC Volunteer Program
All player parents are required to sign up for volunteering duties through the season for their child’s age level. One parent per player required. These task include game time field set up/breakdown, Team managers, coaches and several other options throughout the season
We offer a $125 opt out program for those who are unable to volunteer and can be paid at registration
Player Assessments & A Team Tryouts
All player assessments for Boys & Girls (U8-U14) will be held on both December 8nd and 15th. Once player assessments are complete, NLC will determine each player’s placement. Team rosters will be compolete prior to the end of December 2019. NLC coaching staff and other independent evaluators will be on site assessing each player’s qualifications and determine the best placement of each player.
Girls/Boys U12/U14 A Team Tryouts
Players wishing to try out for Girls/Boys U12 & U14 A Teams must attend at least one of the All Player Assessments held on December 8nd and 15th
Not all age brackets for girls and boys will field an A team but assessments will be used to divide up multiple teams at the same age bracket
Girls/Boys U12 & U14 teams play in the Northern California Junior Lacrosse League or NCJLA. Visit www.ncjla.org for more information. Novato Lacrosse Club plays teams throughout Norhern California (Marin/East Bay/Sacramento)
Girls/Boys U8 & U10 teams play in the local Marin League which consist of only teams from Marin area (Southern Marin, Ross Valley, Terra Linda)

Girls & Boys U12 & U14 - Practice starts the week of Janauary 25th
A teams practice 3 times per week and have 1 to 2 games per weekend
B teams practice 2 times per week and have 1 to 2 games per weekend
Girls/Boys U8 & U10 - Practice starts the week of Februay 22th
These teams practice 2 times per week and play 1 game on the weekends
Girls/Boys U12 & U14 games start the first weekend in March and conclude early to mid May
Girls Boys U8/U10 games start 2nd weekend in March and conclude in ealry to mid May
Novato utilizes both San Marin HS and Novato HS for its home games which are played on Saturdays and Sundays

NLC supports full refunds upon request up until the first practice and provides a 50 percent refund up until the first game of the season.
In the event of an injury or illness that prevents the player from participating in the club lacrosse season, then a refund will be offered to the family up until the first game of the season.
No refunds are provided after the first game of the season is played.
