Lacrosse Play Days -  Additional Information

What are lacrosse Play days?  Play days are lacrosse clinics offered to 1st to 5th grade girls and boys held immediately following the school day.  Kids will be grouped by grade and skill level with the goal of exposing Novato kids to the fastest growing sport in the Country.


If my child already plays lacrosse should they attend?  Yes…Yes…Yes.  Our hope is to have as many Novato Lacrosse Club members as part of the clinic to help their classmates learn the “Fastest Game on foot”!


Who runs the Play Days?    The clinics are run by Novato Lacrosse Club’s team of experienced girls and boy’s coaches and focus on the lacrosse basics and most of all FUN!!!  The hour & 15 minute session will focus the basics of throwing/catching and picking up ground balls.  Fun games will be included to reinforce those skills.


Do I need equipment? – No. Novato Lacrosse Club will provide all equipment including sticks & softer style lacrosse balls as well as water for the kids.  Have kids wear sneakers to school day of the Play Day.


How do I sign up? – Please register for Lacrosse Play Days below.  Free to all Novato residents.


Can I attend more than 1 play day?  Yes.  By registering you child they are eligible attend any of the scheduled Lacrosse Play Days


Does Novato Lacrosse Club offer other programs?  Yes.  Novato Lacrosse club offers Fall and Spring programs.  Additional Information will be available at child pick up.




2019 Girls/Boys Fall Ball - Additional Information


Open to new and returning girls/boys in grades 1st through 8th

Players will be grouped by skill/experience and run through a series of age/skill appropriate skill stations

Each session will finish with live action 7 v 7 games


New player sessions

Perfect opportunity for new players to learn the rules and fundamentals of the game

Focused on the basics – Throwing/Catching/Shooting/ground balls

Complimentary loaner equipment available for all new players


Returning/Advanced player sessions

Perfect for returning and advanced players to hone their skills and prepare for the spring season

Focused on dodging/shooting/defensive footwork/improving lacrosse IQ

Returning players will be grouped together to maximize training session


USL Membership

All participants must have a valid US Lacrosse membership in order to register for fall ball.  This is part of our clubs insurance policy.  You will be prompted at registration for your USL number or an opportunity to be redirected the the US Lacrosse site to sign up for your membership


Fall Ball Coaching Directors


Mike Pardi - Mike has over 35 years of lacrosse experience and has coached at both the youth and HS levels.  In addition Mike played Semi pro lacrosse for 10 years and is a certified lacrosse official for the past 10 years.  Mike is a member of the Novato High School Lacrosse hall of fame.

Greg Rose - Greg has 25 year of lacrosse experience as has coached at the youth, HS & college level for the past 15 years.  Greg coached our U14A team last year and is currently a member of the Alcatrez Outlaw coaching staff.

Dave Duff - Dave is a local Novato resident who grew up on the East Coast and played college lacrosse at Goucher College in Maryland.  Dave played in the Division 3 East/West All Star game and began coaching with Novato Lacrosse Club last year.
