The Novato Lacrosse Club (“NLC”) is a non-profit group of parents and participants organized to provide coaching, facilities, scheduling and playing opportunity for the youth of the North Bay Area of California to participate in the sport of lacrosse.
The NLC provides opportunities for boys and girls ages 7-14 to play lacrosse. NLC strongly believes in the basic tenant that winning is a goal in youth sports but that there is a second, more important, goal of using sports to teach life lessons through positive coaching.

About PCAA Few Words from Phil Jackson
Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA)
Novato Lacrosse Club is a member of the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA), a foundation built on the Double-Goal Coaching Philosophy where one is teaching life-lessons a well as striving to place points on the scoreboard.
In January or February of each year, our NLC coaches attend the PCA workshop hosted by Stanford University to secure their PCA certification. We are proud to say that our organization strives to have 100% of our coaches PCA certified!
In addition the NLC hosts a Parent PCA meeting and encourages all player parents to attend to better understand the philosophy we hope to build upon.
Accordingly, the league expects great sportsmanship from all participants including spectators. Unsportsmanlike conduct such as vocally or visibly criticizing opposing players, officials, coaches, or other spectators, encouraging injury to participants, profanity, racial or sexually based comments or other provocative comments are inappropriate, unacceptable and will be grounds for removal from the competition site and forfeiture of the game.
Please help us make Novato Lacrosse Club enjoyable for all.
