New Player FAQ
• Who can play lacrosse? Boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 14
• When is the season? Practices start February 1st and games are completed by mid-May.
• Where are practices? Girls practice at Sinaloa Middle School two-three times per week. Boys practice at either Hill Fields or San Jose Middle School two-three times per week.
• When are games? Games begin late-February/early-March and run through mid-May. Games are typically played at either San Marin HS turf or in the greater Bay Area with the majority of the away games in Marin and Sonoma County. All games are either Saturday or Sunday.
• How much does it cost? Girls registration fee is $350 which covers all costs except equipment (stick, goggles, mouthpiece). Boys registration fee ranges between $300 and $400 which covers all costs except for equipment (stick, helmet, pads and mouthpiece). Uniforms are provided by Novato Lacrosse for the season. All under-9 players will receive a personalized jersey that they will keep as part of the registration fee.
• What are the equipment costs? Girls starter packages are available at SlingIt Lacrosse in San Rafael for $65 (stick, goggles, mouthpiece and ball). Boys starter packages are available at SlingIt Lacrosse in San Rafael for $200 (stick, helmet, gloves, elbow pads, chest protector, mouthpiece, ball).
• Is there financial assistance? Yes, through the contributions of our sponsors, the Novato Lacrosse Club can provide financial assistance to qualifying players
• Is there a payment plan? Yes, through the online registration, monthly payment options are available to pay the registration fee over the entire season.
